SHEFIT

Shefit is our women’s only CrossFit class.

We focus on the fundamentals of CrossFit – constantly varied, high intensity, functional movement but in an exclusively female class setting. You won’t see heavy barbell lifts or technical gymnastic movements in the programming but you will see incredible results and workout with a motivating group of women. First class is free, come check us out!

CROSSFIT

CrossFit creates an athlete in everybody!

At CrossFit West Richland we program to build functional strength and conditioning through a constantly varied, high intensity workout of the day (WOD) which we scale to every fitness level. Our 60-minute WOD classes will typically consist of a warm up and mobility session, strength or skill work, a heart pumping metcon and end with a cool down. But in true CrossFit style, come prepared to take on the unknown because chances are you’ll be in for a few fun surprises! Our CrossFit class will help you lose body fat, maintain lean muscle-mass, and improve your quality of life. First class is free!

*Open Gym: This block of time is for those athletes who are experienced, who may follow their own programming or want more time to work on strength or a skill. Open gym is not run by a coach, however, a coach will always be present to answer questions and keep you motivated!

FUNDAMENTALS

Have you been interested in trying out CrossFit? 

Have you ever told yourself, “When I get more fit I will try out CrossFit”? Consider CrossFit West Richland’s Fundamentals your welcome package. We will specialize a training plan to get you started in the right direction. We take into consideration your exercise history and recency, and develop a program and a pace that will get you going in the right direction and fast! Don’t waste any more time waiting till you are fitter. CrossFit will expedite you to that goal.

Are you more comfortable in group settings or individual? Through our fundamentals program you can pick a group setting or set up personal one on one sessions. CFWR has the best and most knowledgeable coaches around. Your fitness is in our hands as we teach you the methodology behind CrossFit, moving safely, and encouraging you to ramp up your own intensity. After completing Fundamentals you can transition to regular CrossFit, SheFit, Barbell classes or you can move on to a more individualized program with your specific goals in mind.

Is This A Gym?

Yes, this is a gym; however we are not like a Globo gym (24 Hour Fitness, Golds Gym, Ballys, etc.). At CrossFit West Richland you can’t walk in the door, put on your headphones and do your own thing. We are a coached facility for fitness-minded people and athletes looking to better themselves with each WOD (Workout Of The Day). You don’t pay for access to our gym just to use our equipment, you pay for coaching. In order to do that our members workout together in a group class and our coaches help you through every step of the way.

Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, clean and jerk, and snatch.  Similarly master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow.  Routine is the enemy.  Keep workouts short and intense.
